About the course
What you’ll learn
Cloud computing covers the infrastructure that modern applications run on, and it pairs naturally with either software development or networking.
You start with the service models and what each is genuinely for, then work hands-on with compute, storage, networking and managed databases. Cost gets early and repeated attention — cloud bills are where inexperienced teams lose money, and understanding pricing models is a large part of the job.
Deployment, scaling and availability follow, along with the operational practices that keep a service running: monitoring, alerting, backup and recovery. You finish by deploying and operating a real application, including a deliberate failure and recovery exercise.
