About the course
What you’ll learn
Web design sits between visual design and front-end development, and this course covers both sides.
The design half deals with layout, type, colour, hierarchy and the usability principles that make an interface feel obvious rather than clever. Accessibility is treated as a requirement rather than a nice-to-have — colour contrast, keyboard navigation and screen reader behaviour are part of every build.
The build half covers HTML, CSS and enough JavaScript to make a site interactive, with responsive layout taught mobile-first because that is how most Kenyan users will arrive. You finish with performance: image sizing, loading behaviour and why a beautiful site that takes eight seconds to load is a failed site.
