About the course
What you’ll learn
Beauty therapy trains you to read a client's skin and build a treatment plan around it rather than applying the same facial to everyone. You cover skin structure and function, the common concerns you will meet in practice — hyperpigmentation, acne, sensitivity, barrier damage — and how the active ingredients in professional products work on each.
The practical work covers the full treatment sequence: consultation, cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, massage, masking and aftercare. You also learn contraindications and when to refer a client to a dermatologist rather than treat them, which is the part that protects both your client and your business.
The programme finishes on retail and rebooking — how to recommend a home routine honestly, and how to turn a single facial into a returning client.
