Massage, body treatments and the client experience that makes a spa worth returning to.

About the course

What you’ll learn

Spa therapy covers the treatments and, just as importantly, the environment around them. You learn massage technique — Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy and hot stone — with proper attention to pressure, draping and your own posture, because therapists who work badly injure themselves within a few years.
Body treatments follow: scrubs, wraps, and the consultation that decides which is appropriate. You cover contraindications carefully, since massage is genuinely unsafe for some clients, and knowing when to decline is part of the professional standard.
The final section deals with the spa experience end to end — room setup, scent, sound, timing and the handover — and with the operational side of running treatment rooms profitably.
