About the course
What you’ll learn
Hairdressing is the backbone of the cosmetology programme and the fastest route from training into paid work. You start with the fundamentals — hair anatomy, porosity, sectioning and consultation — before moving into cutting, colour theory and the protective styling techniques that make up most of the day-to-day work in a Kenyan salon.
Every technique is demonstrated in HD from multiple angles, then practised on a mannequin head or a willing model in your own space. You film your work and submit it for feedback, and a trainer responds with specific, technical notes — where the tension was uneven, where the section was too thick, what to change on the next attempt.
By the end you will have built a photographed portfolio of finished looks, which is what salons actually ask to see when they hire.
